Orxan Babazadə is an Azerbaijani singer recognized for his performances in pop and traditional Azerbaijani music. He has built his career through studio recordings, live performances, and appearances at weddings and cultural events, establishing himself as a familiar figure in Azerbaijan's entertainment industry. Although music began as a personal passion, Babazadə gradually developed it into a professional pursuit while simultaneously managing his own business interests.
Born and raised in Azerbaijan, Babazadə developed an interest in music during childhood. In interviews, he has recalled regularly performing poetry and songs at school events, experiences that encouraged him to pursue singing more seriously. Around the ages of 16 to 18, he decided to become a professional vocalist. Following his military service, he refined his skills, assembled his own ensemble, and began performing at weddings, celebrations, and other live events across the country.
Outside music, Babazadə graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where he studied International Relations. Rather than pursuing a government career, he chose entrepreneurship, explaining that business offered him greater independence while allowing him to continue developing his musical ambitions.
His recording career expanded with a series of singles released on major digital platforms. Early releases included "Yaman Könlümə Düşmüsən," "Şirinlərin Şirini," "Unuda Bilmirəm" (featuring Şəmistan Muradxanlı), and "Həyatıma Xoş Gəldin" in 2017. He followed these with "Söz Ver" and "Niyə Gec-Gec Görünürsən" in 2019, "Axşamlar" in 2020, "Bəyi Oğurladılar" in 2023, and the 2026 singles "Sən Mənim Gözəlimsən" and "Unut Məni." His music is distributed through major streaming services, including Apple Music and Amazon Music.
Babazadə's repertoire combines contemporary Azerbaijani pop with elements of traditional mugham-inspired melodies and romantic ballads. His lyrics frequently explore themes of love, longing, heartbreak, and devotion, reflecting musical traditions that remain popular throughout Azerbaijan and neighboring regions. His collaborations with vocalist Şəmistan Muradxanlı further broadened his audience within the country's folk-pop community.
